Study Abroad Vs. the Premier Plan
If a student is enrolled in the Premier Plan and the Study Abroad Plan, the Study Abroad Plan will pay first. In addition, the Study Abroad Plan enhances the Premier Plan’s out-of-network worldwide benefits. Therefore, students are encouraged to be insured under both plans.
Students studying abroad in courses offered by the Main Campus Office of Global Education (OGE) are required to enroll in the Study Abroad Plan, without the option to waive. Graduate and professional students insured under the Premier Plan, may waive out of the Study Abroad Plan and receive a credit on their student account by submitting a completed Study Abroad Student Health Insurance Waiver Form.
