Early Arrivals

2021-2022 Premier Plan

Early Arrival refers to specific incoming student groups arriving before the annual Premier Plan Year’s Effective Date of August 15. They are required to have health insurance coverage before August 15, and are charged for summer coverage under the 21-22 Plan Year. If waiving, the effective date of other coverage is earlier than the date required to waive the annual Plan.

Enrollment information for the 2022-2023 annual Premier Plan should be available by July 1. Your 2022-2023 annual Plan election will, by default, also apply to your 2021-2022 Early Summer Arrival election. For example, if your annual coverage includes dependent coverage, your Early Arrival coverage will too.

Amendment to the Acceptance and Waiver Terms of Agreement

The Acceptance and Waiver Terms of Agreement and conditions for the 2022-2023 Premier Plan apply to the 2021-2022 Early Arrivals, except for the plan benefits and the conditions listed below. The 2021-2022 Premier Plan Certificate of Coverage benefits apply to the Early Arrivals. In addition, the 2022-2023 Plan provisions are amended as indicated below.

Professional Studies (MPS-SCS) International Students in the US

  • Early Summer Arrival coverage dates are May 15, 2022 through August 14, 2022
  • Additional 21-22 Plan charge is $787
  • If waiving, the effective date for other coverage must be no later than July 31, 2022
  • 21-22 Pro-rated Premium
    • $1,574 per student & spouse
    • $1,574 per student & one or more children
    • $2,361 per student, spouse, and one or more children

Masters of Policy Management (MPM) and Nurse Anesthesia Students

  • Early Summer Arrival coverage dates are June 1, 2022 through August 14, 2022
  • Additional 21-22 Plan charge is $651
  • If waiving, the effective date for other coverage must be no later than July 31, 2022
  • 21-22 Pro-rated Premium
    • $1,302 per student & spouse
    • $1,302 per student & one or more children
    • $1,953 per student, spouse, and one or more children

Community Scholars Program, GEMS Program, Biomedical PHD students, Law Foundations, and Medical Students returning from a Leave of Absence

  • Early Summer Arrival coverage dates are July 1, 2022 through August 14, 2022
  • Additional 21-22 Plan charge is $411
  • If waiving, the effective date for other coverage must be no later than July 31, 2022
  • 21-22 Pro-rated Premium
    • $822 per student & spouse
    • $822 per student & one or more children
    • $1,233 per student, spouse, and one or more children

Masters in Business Administration

  • Early Summer Arrival coverage dates are July 15, 2022 through August 14, 2022
  • Additional 21-22 Plan charge is $299
  • If waiving, the effective date for other coverage must be no later than July 31, 2022
  • 21-22 Pro-rated Premium
    • $598 per student & spouse
    • $598 per student & one or more children
    • $897 per student, spouse, and one or more children

Medical Students, PHLG – Special Masters Program, Law Foundations – Cohort II, and Masters in Management

  • Early Summer Arrival coverage dates are August 1, 2022 through August 14, 2022
  • Additional 21-22 Plan charge is $163
  • If waiving, the effective date for other coverage must be no later than July 31, 2022
  • 21-22 Pro-rated Premium
    • $326 per student & spouse
    • $326 per student & one or more children
    • $489 per student, spouse, and one or more children
